REAL OKLAHOMA WEDDING
submitted by: Whitney Hewitt of Erica Weddings
As a wedding planner, you dream of one day just as much as your own: the day your best friend gets married. Not only that, but my best friend Heather is also on the team at Erica Weddings as a Set Up Manager. I knew one thing would be extra true with this wedding: it was all about the details.
Brandon’s mother lost her battle to cancer early on when Heather and Brandon were dating. The couple remembered her with a special in loving memory bouquet as well as Brandon wore a charm with her portrait on the inside of his jacket, closest to his heart.
The farmhouse tables used for the head table were built by Whitney and Heather by hand and are used daily in their own homes. Heather and Brandon love to hunt together. Since their wedding fell on the first day of rifle season, many weren’t surprised that the morning of their wedding they could be found in a tree stand. If you look closely in her bouquet and centerpieces you’ll see turkey feathers from one of their hunts together.
With so many personal details, this wedding was an emotional day filled with love. Heather’s brother officiated the ceremony and there wasn’t a dry eye around.
